When Making Up Doesn't Make Sense
There's often an instinctive reaction in the face of an unwelcome break up to re-initiate the relationship. Many
women reflexively attempt to get their ex boyfriends back after a break up.
In many cases, those efforts are effective. That's particularly true when you consider the strong odds of success
for women who have taken the time and energy to learn the best possible ways to get an ex boyfriend back. These
well-informed women seemingly have a power to end a break up at will.
Unfortunately, the decision to use that power is fraught with some degree of peril. That instinctive desire to
re-start a relationship isn't always a wise one.
There are some relationships that, quite frankly, shouldn't be preserved. If you're considering getting back
together with your ex boyfriend, you should definitely take serious stock of your situation to determine if your
relationship falls into that category.
What kind of relationships shouldn't be saved? The firs and most obvious example is the abusive relationship.
Absolutely no one deserves to be a victim of abuse and those who have suffered from either physical or emotional
trauma in a relationship should not take steps to re-initiate the partnership.
Horribly, many abuse victims find themselves caught in a cycle of abuse and will actually take proactive steps to
re-initiate contact even when a relationship has been proven to be damaging. The psychology underlying this
reaction is complicated and beyond the scope of this article, but is very real. We can only hope that women who
have been involved in abusive relationships opt not to get back together with their abusers.
Abusive circumstances are an obvious example of the kind of relationship that isn't worth saving, but other
examples abound. There are many situations that simply aren't healthy and that should be avoided. Destructive
partnerships don't serve the end goal of increasing happiness, growth and improvement. Nonetheless, some people may
attempt to salvage them.
That can be a somewhat frightening proposition when you consider just how easy it can be for a woman to get their
ex boyfriend back. Informed women who have a strong grasp on how to get men back into their lives carry a great
deal of power. They are able to rebuild seemingly doomed relationships, creating a very real risk if they follow
that seemingly natural reaction in favor of preserving a romance.
That is why it is so very essential for anyone considering getting back together with an ex to really consider the
matter from all angles. Temporary loneliness and the upending of regular patterns can be uncomfortable, but they
are no match for the pain and suffering that can emerge from preserving a destructive relationship.
If you are considering getting your ex boyfriend back, be certain that you are dealing with a potentially positive
relationship. If you're sure you're going to rebuilding something positive and meaningful, taking action is
completely sensible. If, however, there is a risk that you're doing the wrong thing, reconsider your
plans.
