If you start to lie about how you look, what you do, your interests, or any other personal information, you’ll be setting yourself up for a fall if you decide to meet this person offline. You expect honesty from those people you’re talking to so give them the same courtesy.

Don’t expect too much from the people you meet in a chat room. You have no idea what they are really like so it’s best not to arrange an offline date after the first chat.
