Telling Clues That Your Online Guy May Be Married
Online dating is getting bigger and bigger. More and more people choose to get lucky and try to find their soul
mate online. Using the Internet for meeting people is the easy way of getting around that first pickup line. It
also helps to get around being dumped or rejected when trying to pick up a person and therefore, is the new way to
find a date.
Online dating so easy and convenient that about 40 percent of single adult Americans use online services to find
their partner for life or to even just find a date or two. With a little less than 45 percent of adults in the
United States that are single, it should be easy for one to find the right guy or girl, right? Well, think again.
Single guys and girls do not only use online services, married guys also use them. Some of them are currently
separated from their wives; others do it behind their wife’s back. So how can a girl be sure that the guy she is
dating through the online service is not married?
One first way to know, whether a guy is married can be the picture on the page. Married guys on online dating pages
often have cover names and do not want to be recognized by anybody flipping through an online dating catalogue.
Therefore, they post pictures in which they cannot be recognized or they do not post pictures at all. If there is a
page of a guy who is not posting a picture or posting a picture that is very dark or blurry, be aware, it could be
a married guy. Also, if they did not post a picture online, they might want to send you one through either e-mail
or regular mail where it is less likely that somebody recognizes them.
Another way to be able to tell if a guy is married is after a girl meets the guy for the first time. He only has
time very sporadically and very abnormal times. Since he already has a regular family, or at least a married life
and a job, he has to find time between the other two gigs to put another woman into his life. Many married men
might only have time weeknights after the family is already in bed, and the answer time between e-mails might be
different every time, too.
Going along with the last clue is the next one. Since the guy already has a family life, he can only call whenever
there is time. This time might be everyday at ten or noon, when he is at work and his family is not around. Just
after he might have talked to his wife, he will call his online date. Therefore, it is important for women to watch
out for such indicators when online dating. These indicators can give direct clues to a guy’s other life.
Next on the list would be the phone number issue. Many married men want to have the online dates phone number, but
to protect themselves, they will not hand them out, or only hand out a cell phone number. Of course, not everybody
has a home phone, but the number of people especially over twenty or thirty that have a home phone is still much
greater than the number of people that only have a cell phone. Not giving out one’s phone number might be to
prevent the online date from calling and leaving messages or directly talking to the wife. That would ruin his
marriage and most likely he does not want to ruin his marriage, otherwise he would not keep it secret.
If he won’t give out his phone number, then look for this sign. A man who does not want to give out his last name
is most likely married. With the last name, the online date is able to establish a connection to the wife or find
the phone number in the phonebook. Married men want to clearly avoid that. Most likely they will also not introduce
the online date to their parents and friends, since that will lead back to their family and again ruin their family
life.
