Then there is also the fact that maybe you just do not like the sound of their voice. Many people sound different on the phone than in person and this may deter you from wanting to get to know someone further. If you do speak to someone on the phone then at least consider the fact that the person may sound a lot different in real life than they do to you over the phone.

Phone dating and other dating services can be very useful, especially since they allow you to talk to people from all around the world and see who you are compatible with, something that you likely would not be able to do otherwise.

You should never give out certain personal information such as your address or full name before you really feel comfortable with someone. You should also never agree to meet another member in person unless you are going to meet in a crowded place just for your own safety.
